What I want is some real-life beauty regimens :)MOMMIES: How do you balance work, life and beauty?
it just takes time to get your baby in a routine and for her to understand that you need a shower or to wash your face. i just pull the high chair in my bedroom and i have a bathroom connected to my room so i can stand in the bathroom and he is right there in front of me and i usually give him a snack to keep him occupied. for beauty regimens i always scrub/exfoilate my face. it gets rid of the dirt and oil of makes my skin so soft and smooth. and when you get out of the shower always use a lotion with a mostuirezer in it on your skin it keeps your skin healthy and young. i always try to make sure my eyebrows are plucked and trimmed so the days i dont wear a lot of make up i dont look like a total mess!!MOMMIES: How do you balance work, life and beauty?
Well I haven't worked since I was almost 6 months pregnant and I've been very fortunate to be able to not, but I will be going back eventually within the next few months. Not full time, but part time for a few hours every other day or so. Being a Mom is so busy, I'm still not used to the routine and things and my daughter will be 3 months on Friday. I just make sure to keep up on the recent beauty trends by reading magazines, getting my hair done when appropriate..I prefer my nails short and clean so that doesn't really count, just have to clip them about once a week. I shave my legs about once a week as well...I'm a single Mother so I really don't need to do that as much as others as I don't have to keep someone happy :P I personally think I'm much healthier pale than tan, so I don't make a conscience effort to get a ';tan.'; I TRY to fit in working out as much as possible..but its so hard when you have free time, you want to do something fun with it because it comes so rare that working out doesn't seem like a good idea. Just make sure to shower every day and concentrate on a good physical feature you have and flaunt it. It will help with the confidence:)
Yikes. It's not easy, as evidenced by the 2 months' worth of growth on my legs. (ew!) My biggest challenge with a new baby was that he would scream and cry every time I tried to take a shower and get ready. He's six months now, and we've finally figured out the right system: I put him in his bouncer outside the bathroom, where he can see me while I shower. When I get out, he gets fussy again, so if I want to take some time to put on makeup and dry my hair, I put him in his Bumbo on the bathroom counter (next to me in case he shifts). This way, I can talk and sing and play with him while I'm working on me.
I have high hopes that he'll get over this needing-all-mommy's-attention thing soon...
Good luck!
I have very naturally dry hair, so I can style it and not have to wash it or dry it for 2 or 3 days. It takes me 10 min. to do make-up, and to save time I set out my clothes down to the undies before I take a shower. I have work, school, and life...we make it work. I feel petty good about the way I look, only 5 months after Charlotte was born. I guess I'm lucky.
I don't factor in beauty...because I have no time. Work and life is enough to keep me busy as a bee...especially working shift work ugh!
I just make sure I have my hair done daily, looking tidy and nice. I use lip gloss and foundation powder. That is all I do for make up. (Unless I'm going out somewhere, then I add mascara and maybe eye shadow/liner if I have time! :)
Let go of perfection...
a little work, a little play, a little pray.
Beauty regimens - IDK -
