I actually have three . . . My Kerastase Nutritive, Elchin Blowdryer and Mason Pearson Popular brush . . . . I have long brown hair and these three products help to smooth and shine my hair to look great.

GHD hair straightners/stylers. I have very thick, very long, wavy hair. These stylers are my absolute... Oh God my first pair broke and I criedddd like a baby. They just straighten my hair into a silky sheet instantly, or curl it for those evenings out. It takes so much less effort than my previous straightners, and is better fo rmy hair which I keep in tip top condition with Tigi Serum (another fave) and aussie-mate products. I recommend to all luscious long-haired babes!
';never a dull moment'; exfoliator by origins. Its quite expensive but its the best exfoliator by far and makes my skin as soft and smooth as a new born babies bum!
Baby lotion - that's all I use for my skin and it looks great! Expensive skin creams are a complete rip off.
Nivea lip care, I have loads of them everywhere around the house and never leave home without putting one in my handbag.

Has anyone ever went to a beauty college to get your hair done?
So i have been considering going to our beauty college where I live. I have work in an Assisted living facility and a couple of the ladies go but im nervous about going? Im trying to be cheap:) because we are on a pretty tight budget right now. I want a perm i already have curly hair but i want it tobe bigger and more voluminous (SP?) and some color added. what do you ladies think? That is a tough question. All depends on the reputation of the school and what student you happen to get. I saw some beautiful results in school and also some horrible disasters too. Maybe see just how involved the instructors are with the students too. You can not do a perm and color at the same time. Too many chemicals! Try one of the services you want and see how they do for yourself. Also, ask for someone getting ready to graduate soon.
i have gotten my hair cut and colored at a school before. it was a Douglas J Aveda. They did a fantastic job! Because they are students, they pay more attention to what they are doing - and i have found that since they are newer and younger, they have more of a grasp on newer styles and cut techniques. just make sure to be really specific about what you want and express any concern. :-) dont be afraid to try something new, its not like theyre gonna make you bald! lol. good luck

NOO!!!! Dont do it!!! They are not fully certified and if they mess up, youre going to have to end up getting it done by professionals anyway. Just dont do it!!!

In today's society, we are obssessed wtih the perfect body. When did perfection become measurable with plastic surgery? Why the push for such painstaking perfection?Why has the idea of plastic beauty invaded our society with such force?
As Americans, we have become increasingly lazy over recent decades. With advances in technology, we want everything to be easier and better. It's easier to get the perfect body through cosmetic surgery, liposuction, and surgical implants than it is to work for the perfect body through physical exercise.
In addition, Americans today have an easier lifestyle, with more time for recreation. We see images of perfection on television, in movies, on billboards, in magazines--essentially, everywhere we look (ignore the fact that most of these paradigms of ';beauty'; are typically airbrushed to perfection). The media influences our emotions; it causes us to feel imperfect--inadequate--to the point that we become disgusted with ourselves. The solution? Fix it. Nip here, tuck there.
Of course, after the surgery, most people still feel the same. Empty. Imperfect. Ugly.

Why do superficial guys go after the 'perfect bod'? How many guys go after the fat chick? It's one of those what came first the chicken or the egg. Women have always worried about their weight. Remember corsets with whale bone stays. Nothing new we just have magazines throwing it in our faces.
People don't have time to know other people and prefer just to see the exterior. For example, in movies the good guys are good looking and the bad guys ugly.
We know that most of the people are going to judge us for a first impresion or a glimpse, so we try to be attractive for them.
Some folks would rather look good than feel good.... or they equate looking good with feeling good.
It's a little sad to me that folks are opting for surgery rather than aging gracefully. A small part of reconstructive surgery is to correct true deformations of the face and figure......... it seems more folks have reconstruction done purely for vanity.
why? because people want to be as close to perfection as they can. People give opportunities to people who are good looking. If you have some brain and lots of looks it can take you places. Perfection isn't really measurable to anything, it is what one thinks is perfect that he or she sets for. and finally no pain no gain. I'm not saying that its the greatest thing ever but it gives people the confidence they need. Think of it this way its a healthier alternative to anorexia.

Does anyone have a Valor Black Beauty Slimline Fire fitted to a pre-cast flu?
We have one of these and it is getting very very hot. Not only does the casing get very hot but so does the wall it is fitted to, which has a marbel surround fitted. Manufacturers have suggested options to cure this but they do not work, in fact they agreed to give us money back for having it re-installed un-necessarily.

First you need to know the who, where, when, how, why and how much on both ends.
The who: who's competing? women over 50? young black women? young men hoping to become firemen?
Where: depending on what type of pageant and the extravagance you're going for, you might need just a ball room and some back stage area, or the ball room for competition, meeting rooms for herding contestants, and a block of hotel rooms to keep them in.
Think of either Miss USA or Sunburst Pageants.
The Miss USA system, as well as the Miss Teen USA, herds all of the contestants around in a single hotel for a weekend (at least that's how Miss Teen Texas USA went) and they used meeting rooms as our lunch rooms.
The Sunburst Pageant is a walk up and register (as far as I'm aware) so you don't need hotel rooms and herding areas.
when: Crucial detail, which hinges on which type of pageant. Sunburst Style pageants can be done over the course of a single day if you don't have too many categories or contestants. Miss USA state or local Pageants tend to take up holiday weekends and are Multi-day feats of beauty engineering.
How: the how is kinda the whole thing, but you have to remember that pageants don't just happen. they take alot of planning and phone calls and it's like having a second job really.
Why: are you looking for some fresh modeling talent or trying to find a great person to give a scholarship to?
How Much: the things I have listed are going to run up a hefty budget, so you are going to have to make some choices about where that money is going to come from.
Good Pageant directors get sponsorships and work out discounts so that the contestants pay little or nothing to compete. others have the contestants sell ads as apart of their program book so that the costs can be minimized.
Not so good pageant directors charge the contestants for every dime the production is budgeted to cost and then some.
Your best bet on the how much is to determine the total cost of the pageant, negotiate with hotels and venues for the best price, then give your contestants options on how to pay, payment plans are quite popular.

You can't really make them paler with products unless you find out whether the red lips are caused by something. For instance, wind burn - put on vaseline, or it could be your diet - if you eat a lot of processed foods, pop etc it could be overloading your system.
If you look at Chinese medicine, red lips with blue streaks is a sign of issues with your heart, your colon, or even heartburn.
So maye be you could think about your diet and see if there is anything you could improve - if your lips are that unaturally red it might be your bodys way of warning you that you need to make some changes. prevention is afterall better than cure, and our body is much more complicated than we could imagine.

Why is Inner and Outer Beauty so split apart?
OK, I have a frank question on this never ending dilemma on why some things are frowned upon and other things are let go.
Many people say that Inner Beauty is much more important then Outer Beauty; while I do agree to this to a certain point I sometimes find it in a certain way a effortless factor on behalf of many people using it as their defense mechanism.
Lest face it, if your blind, handicapped, disabled, or have anything else that isn't you fault but were born like, then yes, Inner Beauty is what shines most, and will make you look and feel great and thats it...
However, what I find ironic is that Inner Beauty is allowed to grow while the Outer is Beauty is considered too ';Blonde'; and superficial, so anyone who looks better the someone else is considered dumb, stupid or both...
My point is, why is Inner Beauty is allowed to grow, while putting implants to make you look better frowned upon? Aren't they both the same? Just in different places and ways?Why is Inner and Outer Beauty so split apart?

Inner beauty - inner beauty is a soft, pleasant, kind sweet, well spoken, kind words spoken by clear and good heart but with that your behavior should too be good and quiet and polite to others too
Outer beauty - taking care of each and every part of your body ex: hair, skin, dress style, health etc. to make yourself quiet handsome, cool, smarty, and sweet.
But it does not mean that the outer beauty is not allowed to grow but all is that if someone loves u and u r about to go somewhere out with her but something splashes your face and it really makes u look very ugly still she will say,'' i don't mind you the way u r looking i just praise about the inner beauties inside you'; . so that is why inner beauty is allowed to grow because kindness can be remembered but if your looks r also good with the inner beauty so even that will be praised but only if the inner beauty is good too as the outer beauty can be harmed or something else but the inner beauty can never.

You gave yourself the answer already. Inner beauty can grow naturally. We can also support outer beauty naturally, with sport or eating well, or using natural creams etc. Nevertheless outer beauty is succumb to decay. Even if you use implants or other material things to put on your body. It will get older, decay, disintegrate, whereas inner beauty cannot decay, but gets more and more the more a person develops this inner beauty. It has to do with our eternal part in us, with spirit. So you cannot even compare inner with outer beauty.
I often feel that inner beauty can make even an old or ugly body beautiful, whereas if somebody has ';only'; a beautiful body and not a beautiful soul, this person appears to me after a while not beautiful anymore.
If somebody has a beautiful body, this is something good as well, like the flowers on the field, but has for me without inner beauty not much of a value.
Yes, I would have to agree with you- but Inner Beauty is something that's inside of your soul that glows within- and people are naturally drawn to you because you are kind and happy. I am having veneers put on all of my teeth, and that will make me happy because then I can smile more and look better. You have a good point; both are the same, only in different ways.

I think part of the root of the answer is in the consciousness of the body. Keats stated that ';Truth is beauty and beauty truth,'; which doesn't seem to separate the inner and the outer kinds of beauty, rather than unites them in one grand sense unified with truth. In this sense of the concept of beauty, there is no inner and outer. Some would argue that this is indeed inner beauty that Keats is talking about, because it is Platonic or possessing such subtlety that the grossness of the body and relative, temporal forms cannot even come close to it -- it is a spiritual beauty. If this is taken a step further, then what the body experiences is inconsequential and never relates to the higher or deeper soul. Part of what makes this true is that the body is born, lives for some time, and dies. This is the law of karma, but why not end our lives earlier (commit suicide)? The reason is that we actually do love ourselves and consider some aspect worth living for. That aspect is the inner beauty, which does not die. That aspect (you might simply call it the soul), deserves every risk and struggle to be verified, confirmed, and witnessed, through as many life situations as possible in order to try to come closer to the transcendent idea of beauty. This idea of beauty will always be ';inner'; or ';deeper'; or ';at the level of the soul,'; because it is not defined by the death of the body, whereas the body's beauty is always known to end at death. This last sentence is, I think, the answer to your question.

We do place a high premium on outer beauty, but because the definition of what is beautiful varies with the times and the culture in which it is being considered it is evident that outer beauty definately is somewhat determined by the observer. Human beings (in most regards) are by nature both lazy and deceptive. The combination of these two things enforce the evaluation of worth by physical features as they are a) more 'prominent', and b) harder to manipulate.
Because we live in a shallow society and its better to have a beauty on your arm than girls with brains and personality...personally i hate vain people and like my friends to have strong personalities and something upstairs...than to be gorgeous,vain and boring...obviously if they are attractive, intelligent and have a great personality then its a triple whammy.
we do that because we are human. i know its stupid but most people think the outside reflects the inside but its totally not true. theres beautiful people who have horrible personalities and the other way around but then theres people who are nice and are nice looking = the total package

hi, okay, so i've got like a small beauty spot just above my top lip and i wanna cover it up but the concealer i use doesn't seem to work, does anyone know anything else that could help hide it, even a better concealer.

A degree dosn't mean a great deal unless its from Parsons or FIT.
Don't worry.. there are lots of jobs waiting tables.

On the other hand the sense of family and most living in packs means they have a much softer side. Be it caring for their children, hunting for food, or being lazy in the sun or the shade, nothing looks as beautiful to me as one of the big cats.

I think mine would have to be those obnoxious ultra low rise jeans: seeing someone's rear popping up out of their pants is never attractive or apropriate.What is the one fashion/beauty trend that YOU wish would die?
Boots with skirts! I think that wearing boots with any type of skirt is nasty looking, and I don't know why so many people think it's ';hot';!
When I wear a skirt, I only wear either sandals, flip-flops, and maybe high heels along with it, but NEVER would I wear boots with a skirt!

Best thing I'd suggest is close to any major apartment complexes, colonies where women have time and money to spend in such Parlors and you too can develop a long term relationship. If it's closer to home, then they might prefer. As a woman, put yourself in a typical customer shoes and thing what would you expect when you yourself go to a parlor. I personally think that looks attract us to a person initially. But personality is just as important as looks. Someone could have the looks of a model but could be really nasty, so their looks could count for nothing. Also our personality affects our facial expressions, someone would look better if they are more likely to smile and laugh then someone who constantly looks miserable.
For visual beauty I think it is small amount. Someone is happy will look better because they will have a better expression on their face.
For long term beauty I think it is a large factor! A possitive, up-beat attitude influences how we think of a person and makes them seem more attractive.
A lot. Someone who isn't conventionally goregeous can seem really sexy with a cute personality, a bright, friendly smile etc. My other half isn't what you'd call conventionally handsome but I really fell for his bright, friendly personality and cheeky smile!
On the other hand someone very conventionally attractive can seem repulsive and ugly if they are an ugly person inside. They can spend all their money on the most expensive cosmetics and plastic surgery but they will still be ugly until they beautify themselves from the inside out.

me personally if i find the boy cute but ugly personality..why would you need a handsome face but cold heart? i think the true beauty is a persons heart.... it's not easy to be kind it's easily get tempted to be cold hearted and everone can do that but i find it amazing to some people that they act kindly towards each other

I personally think that looks attract us to a person initially. But personality is just as important as looks. Someone could have the looks of a model but could be really nasty, so their looks could count for nothing. Also our personality affects our facial expressions, someone would look better if they are more likely to smile and laugh then someone who constantly looks miserable.
For visual beauty I think it is small amount. Someone is happy will look better because they will have a better expression on their face.
For long term beauty I think it is a large factor! A possitive, up-beat attitude influences how we think of a person and makes them seem more attractive.
A lot. Someone who isn't conventionally goregeous can seem really sexy with a cute personality, a bright, friendly smile etc. My other half isn't what you'd call conventionally handsome but I really fell for his bright, friendly personality and cheeky smile!
On the other hand someone very conventionally attractive can seem repulsive and ugly if they are an ugly person inside. They can spend all their money on the most expensive cosmetics and plastic surgery but they will still be ugly until they beautify themselves from the inside out.

A lot, in fact a lot of stress couses breakouts, it also has to do with attitude, if someone thinks of you as a snotty mean person, then you'll look ugly in there eyes, also, keep your hair washed, toe nails trimmed, teeth brushed every morning, (and night, lol) and wash up every morning to, people will see you as a brite, confident, and a beautiful person.

Yep or you could look online for some good pictures and use them as a guide.
If it doesn't match your face, maybe you should try this way of measuring them.
To find the end of your brow, extend a straight brush diagonally from your nostril, following the outside edge of your eye toward the brow. Where the inside edge of the brush hits is where your brow should end.
To find your arch, hold the brush parallel to the outside edge of the colored part of your eye (the iris). Where the brush meets the brow is where the highest part of your brow should be.

If you already pluck and/or wax and want to change the shape, you need to let them grow out like a lumberjack. Then the salon can reshape them for you.
I know it doesn't sound appealing, but it's true. That's why I'm just leaving the shape of my eyebrows be for now. When I don't have to go out in public as much as I do now, I'll grow 'em out.
