Always read labels and make sure your product in ((noncomogenic)) not sure if I spelled that correctly ((lol)) anyways This is the only make-up that will not clog your pores up. Neutrogena is always ((noncomogenic)) and safe

What Beauty and Style tips have you learned from yahoo answers?

-apply to both bottom and top lashes to make it seem your eyes are bigger
-when applying move your brush back and forth so there are no clumps
-throw away any mascara that smells bad, look bad, or is over 5months old to avoid eye infections
-blue and purple mascara make you look younger and wide awake
-always apply eyeshadow BEFORE applying your mascara

-black eyeliner on your water line makes you look like you have smaller eyes
-white eyeliner makes you seem wide awake

-wear eyeshadow color that is the opposite of your eye color of the color wheel.

I don't know about it ';improving your skins health';, but I do love it! I've used powder foundations and liquid foundations. Most powders didn't give me the coverage I wanted and sometimes looked chalky. The liquids tended to cake up in the lines around my mouth after a while, even when I only had a light layer on. I really don't think waxing is all that bad... what hurts the most is when they take the tweezers to the very outer edge of the lip where it's hard for the wax strip to remove the hair. That makes me tear up instantly.

Why would NJ ban it? That seems really silly. I wouldn't ban anything unless it was actually harmful to someone... why would you ban things like that?

Does anyone have info on the Empire Beauty Schools in Virginia?
I am currently looking into enrolling at the empire beauty school in richmond va. i was just wondering if anyone had any information on it. it's about 20,000 to go so i don't want to make a big mistake. Does anyone have info on the Empire Beauty Schools in Virginia?
Oh gosh don't! I went to look at my local empire beauty school and several girls there were from the Virginia school (I'm in NC) all I heard was terrible things about it, I.E. Major drama, no enforced rules..etc.. I would never spend $20,000 on going to a school that teaches sub-par techniques.
I'm attending the Aveda School in Charlotte, and I know that I'm getting the best education in the business!
Also, another reason I didn't like them, they messed up my hair and turned my mother's hair green/orange instead of blond. I would suggest getting your hair done there and not telling them you are thinking of attending the school. It ( in all honesty ) is the last thing I notice. I love a smart mind and a genuinely kind heart first.Why are people so concerned with outside beauty?
Because of some of these reasons: fashion and tabloid magazines, the media (TV and movies). They influence people's perceptions of themselves. If someone doesn't look like a celebrity, they may end up in the cosmetic surgery office, bulimic or with self-esteem issues. People compare themselves to others -- that is the problem -- and they feel they are not good enough so they want to change their appearance.
Look at all the cosmetic ads. Women are bombarded with messages that they need to constantly beautify themselves. I guess that's why it's a billion-dollar industry.
While outside beauty is aesthetically pleasing, it's not nearly as important as inner beauty. The personality is what outshines all the products you put on your skin.
I, like you, love a smart mind and genuinely kind heart first. A person can be beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside, or ugly on the outside, beautiful on the inside, or both beautiful on the outside and inside.

Okay my answer is that us humans suffer from a sort of egotistical view of how the opposite sex or the same sex if you're that way inclined should appear and attract us.
Some of us also suffer from alot of vanity about our appearance.
I agree with the reason that we want to mate with someone attracive so our kids aren't ugly.
That's a really harsh way of thinking though.

I think alot of it has to do with how you were brought up (obviously you come from a good home) and society. How much people rely on magazines to tell them what is right what is wrong, what is beautiful or not really has an effect on them, long term in all aspects of their life. I am concerned with my own outside beauty for myself because i feel good when i think i look good. but as for other people if they are nice and can make me laugh they are golden. beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder, not on the cover of the cosmo magazine.
I'm more concerned with a truly beautiful intermingling of the two.
because we don't have time to spend with that person and get to know them
so we take the easy way...if they're good lookin then they must have positive attributes
if not they're crap
but if you're lookin for a companion then you should give him/her an opportunitiy to impress you and spend loads of time so that both of you can get to know each other

If someone doesn't look like a celebrity, they may end up in the cosmetic surgery office, bulimic or with self-esteem issues. People compare themselves to others -- that is the problem -- and they feel they are not good enough so they want to change their appearance.
Look at all the cosmetic ads. Women are bombarded with messages that they need to constantly beautify themselves. I guess that's why it's a billion-dollar industry.
While outside beauty is aesthetically pleasing, it's not nearly as important as inner beauty. The personality is what outshines all the products you put on your skin.
I, like you, love a smart mind and genuinely kind heart first. A person can be beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside, or ugly on the outside, beautiful on the inside, or both beautiful on the outside and inside.

Okay my answer is that us humans suffer from a sort of egotistical view of how the opposite sex or the same sex if you're that way inclined should appear and attract us.

I think alot of it has to do with how you were brought up (obviously you come from a good home) and society. How much people rely on magazines to tell them what is right what is wrong, what is beautiful or not really has an effect on them, long term in all aspects of their life. I am concerned with my own outside beauty for myself because i feel good when i think i look good. but as for other people if they are nice and can make me laugh they are golden. beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder, not on the cover of the cosmo magazine.
I'm more concerned with a truly beautiful intermingling of the two.
because we don't have time to spend with that person and get to know them
so we take the easy way...if they're good lookin then they must have positive attributes

1. You can wear one of you designs and model it. Have the emcee give a description of the outfit before your talent presentation, then do a modeling routine to some fun music that calls attention to fun parts of the garment - like maybe the stitching.
2. You could sew something on stage to music. You'd have to do this quickly and be really entertaining and animated. You would have to prepare pieces in advance so you could get the sewing done quickly. Then stand up at the end with a finished product. With practice this could be a really cool presentation.
3. You could sketch something onstage to music. Put an easel on stage turned slightly toward you with a big pad of paper, but where they audience can still see it. Dance around and sketch something quickly (find a design you love and just work on doing it within the time limit, then work on adding dance moves for entertainment). At the end of the presentation, take the pad off, turn it to the audience, and show it to them.
Those are just a few ideas for what you could do. I've judged tons of pageants and seen talent after talent and I'll tell you, anything that's not a vocal presentation is a treat. You'd definately stand out and be memorable. Just make sure your entertaining, it's all in the presentation.

The Beauty Review is a beauty pageant we have at my high school each year... i have pretty tan skin and blonde hair... and i have brown eyes but i wear green contacts.. my hair now is a good bit lighter blonde than in the picture and my hair is really Long.. i have extensions... but i need help on the color and style of the dress.... If the pageant is in the fall, as in before January, you can get away with darker colors. Because of your complexion and hair color, I wouldn't go too dark. I think a darker teal or cranberry purple would look good. Along with being popular colors this season, i don't think you'll see many other girls wearing the same colors or dress. With extensions there are soo many hair styles that can work. If you wear your hair up, you can choose a dress with more detail on the shoulders and top. If you wear it half down or all down, I would chose a dress with more detail throughout or on the bottom.

Fill a plastic tub or bucket with water, dunk your head to wet your hair, shampoo, then dunk again to rinse. While it's not as good as at home in the shower, it does feel better than dirty, oily hair. There are also dry powder or spray shampoos that work alright, if you don't have easy access to water.

Most girls start out entering a contest for their city, and move up the chain of pageants from there. Availability would depend on where you live, and how far you want to go would depend on your smaller successes. Being beautiful is just part of the package though. You have to have poise, and a great posture. You have to be comfortable wearing heels, bathing suits of all sizes and know how to make the best of what you do have.What must i do to win a beauty pageant?

Most girls start out entering a contest for their city, and move up the chain of pageants from there. Availability would depend on where you live, and how far you want to go would depend on your smaller successes. Being beautiful is just part of the package though. You have to have poise, and a great posture. You have to be comfortable wearing heels, bathing suits of all sizes and know how to make the best of what you do have.What must i do to win a beauty pageant?

To tighten and cleanse pores:Apply to nose, forehead, and chin any leftover bits of cooked oatmeal from the pot. Allow it to dry (it will feel tight on your skin, and then wash off thoroughly using a toner afterwards.
You can even do this whilst sitting at the table eating your oatmeal. By the time you've finished eating, your facial mask is ready to be washed off.

Apple cider vinegar makes a great hair rinse, and can help with scalp problems too. For a great scalp and hair treatment mix olive oil with some herbs like rosemary, mint, cammomile, lavender and maybe even some nettles. Rub into scalp and hair and leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse it all out and shampoo your hair. Pour over some cider vinegar and leave it for a few minutes before rinsing for beautifully glossy and shiny hair and a revitalised scalp.
Be very careful not to get any vinegar in your eyes, and don't worry if there's a vinegar smell when your hair is still wet, it WILL go away once it's dry!

For a great scalp and hair treatment mix olive oil with some herbs like rosemary, mint, cammomile, lavender and maybe even some nettles. Rub into scalp and hair and leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse it all out and shampoo your hair. Pour over some cider vinegar and leave it for a few minutes before rinsing for beautifully glossy and shiny hair and a revitalised scalp.
Be very careful not to get any vinegar in your eyes, and don't worry if there's a vinegar smell when your hair is still wet, it WILL go away once it's dry!

I've got quite fair skin, brown hair, green eyes and freckles across my nose. Everytime I buy new foundation or something like that It always seem to be the wrong colour or tone for my skin. Anyone got any ideas?Anyone know any good make-up or beauty tips?
When choosing a lipgloss for your lips always choose the same colour as the colour as you pull down your lip at the bottom and the colour below your teeth is the colour for your lips. So basically where your gums are but just below your teeth! U must pull your bottom lip down to see it tho. Dont use foundation for your skin as will clog your skin and its thick and will leave your skin greasy and oily. Use a primer/mosturiser and a powder on your skin if you must use a base and choose a colour and dab it on the back of your wrist on the inner bit of your arm where your wrist is and the whitest bit is and if it doesnt look too orange and matches your skin its the one. Use a creme blusher on your cheeks as i have freckles on my cheeks and nose and this lightens my face more but doesnt look false and looks pretty. I use a stick form from natural collection and use my finger to dab and blend it in on my cheeks but you must smile while putting it on as this is where your cheek bones are and brush it down your face not up! Dont brush your blusher up your face always DOWN! Everytime you take your make up off at night use a good cleanser/toner and always use moisturiser to restore your natural oil in your face or it'll stay dry. I use tea tree oil cleanseerr/toner on my face at night to prvents spots too. I use boots own cold cream on my face at night and have done for over a year or so and wouldnt use anything else. If you want anymore tips then ask as I know quite a few as my mum used 2 work as a make up advisior in her younger days and gives me loads of tips.

As im not a scientist im not sure,but as a training beautician id say that every beauty products goes out of date-look on the back or bottom of the products and you will see a little picture of a pot with a number and the letter M next to it,this M stands for months and tells you how long you should use the product for ideally for it to work effectively before you replace it

I've been notcing recently that Asian women have really been popular with men of all backrounds. I no longer hear men talking about blonds, Latina's, or mixed girls any more, its all about Asian girls now. Why is that? Personally I think its because Asian women tend to be more feminine and have a great combination of beauty and personality. Asian women usually are in good shape where as the majority of women of other races are now obese. Asian women also work hard, age well, are respectful, very cute, appreciative, and carry themselves with class. While I cannot disagree with your sentiments about American women more strenuously, you have accurately described the *stereotyped*, idealized Asian female.
The popularity of the image of the eternally youthful, submissive (i.e., feminine in the traditional, patriarchal sense), hard working, and appreciative (i.e., she knows her place) woman is due to three factors:
1) American involvement in the Pacific front during World War II, when many grunts involved with the pacification of Pacific nations took Asian wives. In the US, these wives were accepted as rescued women - very traditionally feminine, indeed. Vietnam and Korea accelerated this image. (If you pay attention, you'll notice that a similar fetish is developing around Arabic and South Asian women right now . . . anything to do with the Middle East? Yes.)
2) Asians have become a ';model minority'; in the US - in other words, they have more successfully met white, middle-class standards of lifestyle than other groups. This is largely because there is no taboo against interracial white-Asian marriages - a product of WWII and Vietnam. Because of this, many white men who might otherwise be against interracial marriage find Asian women to be acceptable mates.
3) Perceptions that other women are becoming more manly are probably reactions to American women's increasing independence and power in this country. For men who prefer the more ';traditional'; or submissive style of femininity, Asian women - whose race bears the baggage I've described above - present an alternative to independent women. This is *not* to say that Asian women are actually more submissive, cuter, or any of that. That's a stereotype, and a damaging one at that!
While I haven't personally noticed any decrease in the appreciation of other kinds of women, Asian women have, over the past fifty years or so, become more and more accepted in the US as the very epitome of femininity. Asian women have long been considered beautiful in many respects as you have mentioned. Just look at the world of art to see some of this expression.
I also think that in this country we are becoming less rece conscious and women of all color and cultures are being recognized for thier beauty and femininity. Not many flannel shirts found in high fashion magazines.
Classic Asian art often presents the image of the woman as diminutive and perhaps even subservient but as the world matures we all seem to better recognize the more recherche`features in all women while understanding that it was they who were in charge all along.

Like the flower on a dandelion, it is not glowing but it is useful, bees need it for pollen, and we eat them for lettuce, in other cases, I guess it is because they have a purpose and the plain has a beauty all on its own.
The mind only seeks what it thinks it will find... Such is a biased means...... But, to find beauty in everything requires a true understanding to which many of us cannot afford.....

Ella Bache skin care products, I had an Ella Bache salon myself 18 years ago, Ella Bache became greedy and decided instead of letting beauty therapist, have their products in their salons, to use promote and sell , they now only sell franchises, which cost way above what a beauty salon is ever worth, so you don't see them much any more. Mascara, specifically cover girl lash blast in the orange tube. It makes such a huge difference!
